⦁ The multi-Latin energy company joined again with the community and the authority to plant 120 more trees on the third day of tree planting in the district.
Lima, November 13, 2023.- A tree absorbs approximately between 10 kg and 30 kg of C02 per year, becoming great allies to improve the quality of life of the inhabitants. With this approach to caring for the environment and climate action to achieve much more sustainable cities, PRIMAX carried out its third day of tree planting where it managed to plant 120 trees in Villa El Salvador, adding to date 360 forest species planted in the district.
The area that benefited from this new brand action was the Jesús Nazareno Park, where more than 100 people attended, including collaborators who are part of the Primax “Suma Energía” volunteers, residents of the district, representatives of the Metropolitan Municipality of Lima, the District Municipality of Villa El Salvador and SERPAR, who planted tree species such as coastal molles and mountain molles.
“This alliance has been key to fulfilling this activity that is part of our Social Responsibility Program ‘Energy that connects us’ that seeks to positively impact the environment. We believe in teamwork and in this way, hand in hand with civil society and authority, we will continue in 2024, hoping to add more areas of Lima to these intense days of tree planting,” said Gina Vega Ponce de León, Public Relations Manager of PRIMAX.
As recalled, between July and September of this year, PRIMAX began its tree planting days in the district of Villa El Salvador, one of the districts with the highest population density in Metropolitan Lima.
“In this district, neighbors also play an important role, since their active participation will allow the care of the species. They have received training from the authorities for the proper maintenance of planted species such as papelillos, hauranhuays, coastal molles and mountain molles,” Vega Ponce de León pointed out.
Likewise, he added that the agenda of the Social Responsibility Program “Energy that connects us” in 2023 also prioritized the attention of the most vulnerable people and families with the delivery of gas cylinders to the Common Pots and implementations of Computer Centers to the educational centers that serve people with different abilities.
